Travellers/visitors from many countries visited India from time to time to gain knowledge of its religion, philosophy, literature, medicine, astronomy, thastrology and mathematics from its sacred texts, lip to the 18century India had been an ideal country of the world in educational, economic, social and spiritual field. In the 18th century, our partnership in the world market was 37% and our income was 17% of the total income of the world. The literacy in the country was 97% according to the famous German scholar Max Muller, English scholar W. Litner and the British Government. The number of primary and secondary Gurukuls was 7 lac 32 thousand. The centres of higher learning were 14 thousand where 18 subjects including astronomy, astrophysics, physics, chemistry, geology, metallurgy, philosophy, surgery, medical science and management were taught.
The British rulers having a hidden agenda to keep us enslaved for centuries tried to destroy our rich and prestigious educational system totally. Today, there are 450 universities, 13 lac primary and secondary schools, 15 thousand colleges in the country.
Many institutes of international level in the field of science, management and technology exist in the country but we could not fully include our sacraments and culture in these institutions of high standard of education. We want to make our culture, sacraments, history, Yog, meditation, and morality (good conduct) a part and parcel of our educational system, for realizing the great potential of our children, and for developing in them a sense of pride for their sacraments and culture. We want to make the child a successful and ideal man of the world. Graduates of our Institution shall be competent enough to create jobs for themselves as well as for others, and to make the society self -dependent in health-care. They shall be able to re-establish Vedic Rishi Culture (Gurukul System) of education. We want to establish a highly ideal educational system through the University of Patanjali.
